Yes, party invitations are now available
The October 15 official update, version 1.0.1.7, added a party feature for inviting friends, queuing together and entering matches together. If you read that direct party invitations are missing, check the date of that advice: it may describe the launch build.
Use the party feature when your goal is to enter a match together. Use a password-protected private room when your goal is to choose who can join a particular match. These features solve different problems; a party is not automatically a private lobby.
| You want to… | Feature to use | Official confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| Queue and enter matches with friends | Party invitations | October 15 — version 1.0.1.7 |
| Limit a match to people who have your password | Password-protected private room | October 13 — version 1.0.1.4 |
| Talk to your team or lobby | In-game voice chat | October 12 — version 1.0.10 |
Before sending an invite
First bring every player onto the available game update. The developer's October 13 instructions say the version number appears at the bottom-right of the menu. If an update is not appearing, fully exit Steam and open it again.
Then choose the party feature for shared matchmaking, or the private-room feature for a passworded match. Agree on that choice before one person starts queuing. We have not captured the current invite menus in-game, so exact button labels, party limits and host controls remain unverified here.
- Compare the version numbers shown in each player's menu.
- Finish any Steam update downloads before retrying.
- For a party, confirm friends have joined before starting the queue.
- For a private room, share the room password only with the people you want to join.
Voice chat: T for push-to-talk
The October 12 update introduced lobby and team voice chat. The developer names T as the default push-to-talk key and says open-mic mode is also available. Check your own settings if you have changed bindings.
That announcement confirms lobby and team chat. It does not establish a proximity-chat feature, so we do not treat requests for proximity chat in video comments as a description of the current game.
If the game has no sound, the October 13 update directs players to choose an audio output device in settings. For microphone trouble, checking Windows input selection and microphone permissions is a general Windows troubleshooting step; it is not a game-specific fix we have tested.
When a friend cannot join or the party disconnects
The October 13 and October 15 notes both mention connection or joining fixes. Start with the update check before changing your setup, especially if one player has only just installed the game.
For a useful report, separate the stage that fails: receiving an invitation, accepting it, entering the party, finding a match or staying connected after loading. Record the error text, game versions, approximate time and whether a solo match also fails. This gives the developer more to work with than a report that multiplayer is simply broken.
We have not verified a universal connection fix, a server-status feed or special router settings for this game. Avoid assuming that a public post about a different shooter applies here.
